What goes on inside this wee head?

We'll never know...

At 11, took Anne to her mum's as the pair were off to the first Edinburgh derby of the season...

With Hearts being in administration and most of their squad under 21, Hibs were favourites...

In the end though, Hearts won 1-0...

While they'd been watching the game, I'd been on t'internet and for some reason got caught up looking at CDs by Italian songstress Laura Pausini, ending up buying her last (2011) album...

On purchasing it from the proper Amazon rather than marketplace, the album was automatically ripped to my "cloud", from where I downloaded it and added it to my jukebox for listening and enjoying in the car, soundtracking a flying visit out to my mum's...

Then back to Edinburgh to pick up the surprised and delighted (re Hearts' win) ladies...

Dropping Anne's mum off, we headed into town to meet up with Keith (who'd also been at the match) and Maureen, for Stewart Lee's fringe show of work in progress for the next series of "Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle", entitled "Much A Stew About Nothing"...

Drinks first on Broughton Street then a short time in the queue and in to The Stand for the show...

Everything ran like clockwork and the show was up to the usual standards of Mr Lee - in fact I think it was actually one of his best in recent years - he seemed much more relaxed and upbeat than usual...

Bodes well for the TV series, due on screens in the Spring of 2014 - by which time I will probably have forgotten much of his routines...

A walk along George Street through the Festival throng to Charlotte Square where our compadres were about to take in a thing in the Book Festival...

Anne and I headed home under not too great skies...

Later on, the penultimate "White Queen" entertained...

A packed day...

Highlight of the Day : Stewart Lee...
