Up and working and listening to UK and Rheostatics prior to the arrival of our handsome young nephew Alastair...

He is just back from a trip to Croatia and Bosnia...

I was taken with this photo on his I-Phone...

Anyway, he was here in his capacity as plumber and heating engineer to remove the old radiator and fit the new one...

The Exec Producer demonstrated how not heavy the old one was...

..while Ali got to work...

He broke off to play a duet with his old uncle on Paulo Nutini's "Candy" - one of the songs I'm learning for next week...

Meanwhile the Exec Producer metaphorically twiddled her thumbs...

Work progressed...

And, shortly after Anne had departed for Fife to watch the Hearts v Celtic cup semi-final (with Hibs having beaten Aberdeen yesterday afternoon), the new radiator was in place...

Outside, the weather was fine...

This used to be a view of trees and greenery...

Another solo rehearsal in the afternoon and more work...

On checking the Hearts result at full time I found that the mighty JTs had confounded expectations and beaten Celtic 2-1...

Sweeter than sweet was the fact that the winning goal against one of the "Old Firm" was an old-firmesque dubious injury time penalty...

But I cared not a jot for idiot Neil Lennon's embarrassing haranguing of the ref at the final whistle - as Celtic's equaliser, three minutes from time, had been clearly offside...

A delighted Anne returned in fine fettle this evening - worried now about the final against Hibs...

They have not won the cup since 1902 - something in which Hearts fans take great delight - it would be embarrassing to say the least if the Hibees broke this hoodoo by beating their arch rivals...

However, the Hearts gnome was chuffed...

In the evening, round to Anne's mum's for the family tea sans Jane, Bobby and kids - returningtoday from a trip top London...

A somewhat quieter time than usual then with Keith, Maureen, Abby and Ryan also in attendance...

Home to some work before the highlits of the cup semi-finals...

So funny watching Neil Lennon embarrass himself at the end and then compounding his error by taking to Twitter after the match to opine the penalty decision was personal against him...

He said earlier in the week he wants to be another Morinho - dream on ginger nut...

Highlight of the Day : Hearts triumph over the 'tic / visit from our talented nephew...
