Playlist
The Jamie Frain Trio – Live at the Kilted Pig
Various – Milano Jukeboxes
Procol Harum – Portfolio
Oscar Peterson – Walk the Line
Frank Zappa – Them or Us

Up early and transferring the recording of last night's sets to the hard drive for tweaking - no bass or percussion though as they weren't going throgh the desk...

I also missed the first two songs of the first set and first seven(!) of the second...

Out to Patisserie Florentin for breakfast which was, in effect, lunch, due to our arrival around midday...

Then, down to Voxbox in St Stephen's Street, where a trio of discs was partaken of - Procol Harum, Oscar Peterson and Frank Zappa...

The first of these soundtracked the drive out to my mum's - where this was spotted in the garden...

Shock and hilarity were expressed at a call from sister Sheila to say she was cycling down from Penicuik (she called later to say she'd given up and was coming by car)...

She arrived just as we left for Nephew Olly's birthday party - he is eleven today...

He liked his Dr Who box set...

..and his Hearts cake, here being revealed to him for the first time by his sister, Kitty...

Everyone had pics taken...

Kitty and her grannies...

Olly and his cousin David and Uncle Keith...

Auntie Maureen with daughter No 2 Abby and boyfriend Ryan...

Mum Jane and auntie Anne...

Jane's excellent fayre once again sustained...

And the kids were tech'd up to the max...

Explosive candles were added to the cake...

...before the birthday boy did the cutting, watched over by dad Bobby...

...prior to relaxing on the couch...

Back home under blue skies...

..and the first two episodes of new Danish/Swedish drama "The Bridge" were very much enjoyed...

Highlight of the Day : Family visits...
