Up and more updating and picture uploading...

At 10:30, off to Glasgow with Annie for this afternoon’s Euro Qualifier between Scotland and the Czech Republic...

On the way, stopped off at the Royal Mail to pick up new headphones which had undergone an attempted delivery yesterday – Grado SR60s – the same as the ones which are about to give up the ghost after probably over a decade’s sterling service...

In Glasgow by 11:30 and we parked near Hampden before taking the train into the centre for a look around...

I was not inspired and, when we met up for the train back to Hampden, was empty handed – while Annie had the tickets...

Pre-match fireworks etc...

Man with annoying hat in front of me...

Scotland went one up just before halftime...

...but could have been at least 3-0 down prior to that but for poor finishing of sitters and the ref not noticing a clear cut penalty...

With 20 minutes to go, the Czechs equalised...

But, four minutes later the Scotchanders took the lead again...

So, Scotchland had to hold out for ten minutes to gain the three must-gain points but, oh no, a dive by the Czech number nine in the 90th minute and a penalty equaliser...

Then, in the third minute of injury time, the Scotch centre half went down in the box after having his heels clipped but, made such a Laurence Olivier meal of it, that the ref awarded a free kick to the Czechs and booked him for diving...

Oh what it is to be a Scottish football supporter...

We drove home disappointed not to have seen our team win but, all in all, 2-2 was probably a fair result...

A curry was collected and “Dr Who” was watched – not a great episode...

Late on, after having watched the highlights of today’s game and just about to hit the sack, a call from mum to advise Pam had been taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary...

The woes of the Scottish football team faded into insignificance...

Sister Sheila was away in the ambulance with her and called later on to say all was ok but that Pam would be in overnight...

Hellish end to the day which only proved conclusively, Mr Shankley, that football is not the most important thing in the world...

Lowlight of the Day : Pam in hospital...
