Up early and getting Pam ready took an age but we were in time for the taxi to the station at 7:45...
The train to Euston was less busy than expected and no probs getting a seat...
With Pam's walking so bad it seemed to take an age to walk the few hundred meters to the hospital...
To one part for bloods to be taken and tested (re whether Chemo could continue tomorrow)...
The view from the waiting room window...
Then to another for the meeting with the consultant...
Sadly it's not the anti-seizure drugs which have caused this downturn, rather she has new swelling on the brain which will either be the return of the tumour or another cyst...
An MRI is set for Monday with results on Tuesday...
Steroids prescribed to reduce the swelling in the meantime (already working as I type on Saturday morning) and next course of chemo proceeding as planned, with anti-seizures gradually being amended to a new, hopefully less side effect laden, drug...
A new wig was procured and calls were made to family back home...
Train back to Hemel (old wig)...
Taxi back to Pam's house...
New wig...
Much texting to Pam's chums...
Specially requested Chinese takeaway collected...
...and enjoyed...
A visit from two of Pam's chums, sisters Suzanne and Michelle...
Two hours of chat...
Then, some catching up for Pam on her favourite soaps, Corrie and Eastie before retiring for the night...
Not the best day ever, I must say...
