Schubert - String Quartets Nos 12-15
A day waiting for a call that never came...
In the morning, dealing with some financial matters - mainly online...
Lunchtime and we made headway into the remains of the soup (we finished it as a starter this evening) and enjoyed a ham salad sandwich...
Out for a walk in the afternoon through nearby Rant Meadow Woods...
...and, whilst checking out a charity shop at the other end, these were partaken of for just four of your English pounds...
On the way back...
...a small stumble by Pam was renacted for the cameras...
The first take looked like she was performing in a West End Musical...
The second was slightly more convincing...
Back home, with string quartets on the Hi-Fi, we were visited by chum Debbie who brought along a lovely card for Pam with a hand-written message inside...
A right old natter was undertaken and we all agreed Pam was better now than she had been during Debbie's last visit on Sunday, even although her speech is still nowhere near back to normal...
As I cooked a makeshift tea (prefaced by the last remains of the soup that would not die), Pam did her best to chat on the phone to her friend Liz in Edinburgh...
Shortly afetrwards, my concoction was declared extemely tasty indeed...
The special sauce comprised tinned tomatoes, a spoonful of sticky onion chutney, a dash of soy sauce, dried herbes de Provence, crushed dried chillis, dried chives - oh yeah! - added to chopped pork chops...
...and served with Pommes Frites on the side...
Trust me, it tasted a hundred times better than it looks...
Just after tea, a visit from chum Julie and a good old natter was had for the second time today...
Finished off with some telly before heading for bed, hoping for a call tomorrow...
Highlight of the Day : A walk in the woods...
