Up early and shaved my face and head, taking years off me...
After breakfast we were out...
...walked through the woods...
...to the post office and for Pam to buy some bread to fill up her freezer for when she is going to be away...
Then walked back through the woods and home...
To the station around midday...
...and into Euston...
...and along to UCLH for today's appointment with Pam's new Neuro-Oncology Consultant, Mr Mulholland...
After a long interview and discussion, it was decided that Pam's best option from the point of view of support re possible side effects of her new chemo, which will start shortly, is that she should move back to Edinburgh for the time being to live with our mum, with me and my sister Sheila just 20 minutes away...
The doctor advised that Pam ought not to live on her own during the treatment and so, really, this was the only option...
She is being referred to a Scottish neuro-oncologist, a Professor and a leader in the field, who only works with patients with Pam's type of tumour...
As I type she is busy packing cases and selecting stuff to take with us on the road trip tomorrow...
We were planning on returning to Scotland anyway but Pam will now be there for a good bit longer than expected...
She should be "up and running" by the weekend and, with her last cycle of chemo only having ended last Wednesday, the new treatment is not due to start for a couple of weeks...
Her bravery throughtout all of this has never failed to astound me...
Here she is at her front door, smiling as ever...
We were visited by sisterly chums Michelle and Suzanne (with sleeping daughter Megan) to wish us all the best for the journey and to Pam for her continuing treatment...
Meanwhile, texts, calls and e-mails of support were also received...
Not in the mood to cook, we nipped down to Dominos for takeaway pizzas...
...eaten whilst watching the preposterous "Body Farm"...
Pam spent the rest of the night packing a bigger case than expected...
Highlight of the Day : Pam's ever optimistic attitude to everything that is thrown at her...

She's fab and she doesn't deserve all this. Your mum will be happy to have her at home though xx
You're right of course Linds...
You know, there are some pretty nasty people in the world and I wouldn't even wish this on them, let alone someone like Pam, who has never done anything but be nice to people no matter what...
I lefet her tonight having a cup of tea and a natter with our mum, having unloaded what seemed like the entire contents of Pam's house into her old bedroom...
Onwards and upwards...
I remember that bedroom and associate it with bruce Springsteen for some reason too obscure to remember...
Wow that's so obscure even I don't remember it...
