Up and pottering about listening to peaceful cello music...
Waiting on any word from the hospital...
Around 11:30 it came...
There were three possibilities for Pam's downturn and the cause advised this morning is the worst of the three - further growth of the tumour...
However, the doctor advised it was minimal growth and the problem wasn't so much that as the fact that the area which has grown so very slightly is causing the loss of capacity for speech...
We now await a call from a further consultant to confirm a time for us to return to the hospital this week to have Pam assessed to decide which of two possible new treatments will be progressed...
Meanwhile, steroids continue and Pam's current chemo ends tomorrow...
Phonecalls to family and e-mails to friends...
To say we were downhearted is an understatement but we picked ourselves up and, after fulfilling Pam's request for a new headshave...
...we went down into Hemel...
...to sucure an anti-slip bath mat to make shower-time that little bit less dangerous for Pam...
Back home, last night's soup was rebooted before visits from Suzanne's husband Chris to fix some tiles in Pam's kitchen and from Pam's chum Lesley with words of encouragement, comfort and support...
The late soup ensured a late dinner as we enjoyed some telly - with Pam catching up on her soaps and then "The Body Farm",the rather gruesome spin-off from "Waking the Dead"...
Further e-mails and phonecalls of clarification and love were also undertaken...
An attempt to watch a film late on found us both snoozing so it was paused till another time as we retired for the day...
