This evening, after a lovely day...

...and some learning of some Pink Floyd songs, it was back into town with Annie for our annual attendance of Richard Herring's Fringe Show (we will see Stewart Lee next week)...

This year's show is entitled "What is Love Anyway?" (after Howard Jones' 1983 hit "What is Love?") in which he endeavours to define and destroy love before it inevitably destroys him...

We parked at the Meadows and walked to Bristo Square, one of the new Fringe Hubs which have srung up over the last five to ten years...

These days, if you're not playing at The Pleasance, the Assembly, The Stand or the Underbelly, you're pretty much on the fringe of the fringe...

Anyway, Mr H was as funny as he has been over the last 10 or 12 years during which we have enjoyed his ramblings...

This new show is perhaps not quite as intense as others we have seen but, suffice to say, towards the end of his set I had tears of laughter in my eyes followed by a Debussy inspired tears of sorrow moment, followed by more tears of laughter...

Probably the best ending to a Herring show I can remember...

As you may surmise, thoroughly recommended...

Out into the very busy night...

Back home "My Family" entertained - good but not as good as last night's "Big Bang Theory" (although it easily knocked last night's "Torchwood" into third place)...

In news elsewhere, Hearts have drawn sister Pam's faves, the Tottingham Hortspurs, in the next round of the Europa League and my Schumann box arrived but was unable to be put through the letter box and so will be picked up tomorrow...

Highlight of the day : Richard Herring...
