Neighbourhood cat welcomed my return to the apartment...
After breakfast, out for a trip along the coast...
...leaving our wee chum slumbering in the shade...
On to the bus...
...through Monaco...
..and on round the French Riviera...
..to Beausoleil...
...and a twenty minute walk...
..to Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild...
...with its views...
..its opulence...
...its opulence (did I mention that?)...
...it's monkey room...
...its balcony...
...its opulence...
...its large complex of gardens...
...its fish...
...its views...
...its monuments..
...its fountains (sadly not captured in action)...
A wonderful place, if rather opulent...
A bus back to Beausoleil for a quick coffee...
...before heading back round the coast...
..through Monaco which, tonight, was hosting the European Super Cup between Barcelona and Oporto...
...on past Monaco..
...and home for some crisps and beer...
...never tiring of the view...

...then out for our last dinner, for which a boat was slightly pushed out...
...followed by a stroll along the front to catch a jazz-fusion band, which alienated some of the older audients...
Back to the main beach venue, where the last Cloudland Blue Quartet of the holiday was captured...
...and where people jumped up and down and waved their arms in the air whilst being covered in foam...
...the entertainment was cut short by a huge thunderstorm...
...which rumbled on into the night...
