The curse of the wheat...

Cloudland Blue Quartet – Vendôme EP
Cloudland Blue Quartet – Aftersilence

Awoke to the sounds of the Floyd then, post coffee from the art-based mug, set to work on “Vendôme”...

Completely remixed the track and produced four mixes – Single, Instrumental, Full, Acoustic which will appear on this wee EP soon...

These pics of the eponymous French town by Leanne Williamson (Mrs Sour Grapes) will also feature on the cover...

Recreated the song disc from “Aftersilence” now that “Vendôme” has been fixed...

Annie meanwhile was off to Zumba with chum Lynn – no post workout home made vanilla slices this week though as we were off to Glasgow...

We’d booked the bus for the trip and set off around 11:15 into town to pick up our connection at the main bus station...

...only to drive past at 12:45, the spot where we’d caught the bus into town over an hour earlier...

The things you do so you can enjoy a couple of drinks...

Soundtracked by this morning’s work (which has been e-mailed to Oz)...

Arrived around 2...

...and both went on separate shopping sprees around the city...

While Anne was successful, it may surprise you to be advised that, despite visits to both Fopp and Missing, I did not partake at either emporium of auditory delights...

My sole purchase was a double disc collection by The Isley Brothers from a British Heart Foundation shop for just 99 of your English one pence pieces...

Drinks were enjoyed at Bar Ten...

And then, after spotting this Dr Who like statue (of a fireman perhaps?)...

...more drinks at Ad Lib...

..oh dear...

Suffice to say your correspondent was a little the worse for wear when we arrived at Slumdog Kitchen for one of the tastiest Indian meals he’s ever enjoyed (unless the previous intake of copious amounts of beer was affecting my judgement - no, I think I was correct)...

An excellent day and evening having been enjoyed, we walked back to the Bus Station...

...and caught the bus home...

...and walked back up to Crispycat Towers...

...where my CD of the soundtrack of “Once” had finally arrived from Amazon and where I snored on the settee and fell asleep standing up in the kitchen apparently – although I don’t remember that – I do, however, recall “Have I Got News For You” and “The Graham Norton Show”...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Slumdog Kitchen / Vendôme mixing...
