Madredeus - Ainda
Amy Millan - Masters of Burial
JS Bach - The English Suites

Up reasonably early...

Headed into London to get to the hospital for midday again...

Was able to park in a side street given it was a Sunday...

Pam had her stitches out last night and was looking good...

She got herself wrapped up and out we went again...

...today heading in the opposite direction from Hampstead Heath...

...and round by Belsize Park Underground Station to the High Street and had a look around...

...before settling on Chez Bob for lunch...

Smoothies were ordered and given the thumbs up...

..followed by a light brunch for Pam and macaroni for your correspondent, before we headed back past the hospital and down to Hampstead, where a local charity shop provided us with some bargain book opportunities...

"Fermat's Last Theorem" and Flaubert's "Trois Contes" for me, the latter including "The Legend of St Julien the Hospitaller"...

Then, onto the Heath...

...going further than before, round to the pond, where we sat and watched the birds on the water...

A tree grew out of my head...

A brisk walk....

...watched by the local squirrels...

..and we were soon back at the hospital...

At 3:30, I left Pam to snooze and took a bus to Camden again - I had intended going further but the bus was jam-packed and extremely slow...

Today I took in a few different sights though...

First up, a couple of CDs were bought in a mental health charity shop, one by rappers The Beatnuts and one by my fave Portuguese band Madredeus (which it turns out I already have of course)...

A nearby Sue Ryder outlet provided the opportunity to partake of a 2CD set of Bach's English Suites (again, I'm pretty sure I have these already but perhaps not by Angela Hewitt)...

Last year's solo outing from Stars and Broken Social Scene alumnus Amy Millan joined the fray for a quid courtesy of the Music and Video Exchange...

Total outlay, including books, under a tenner...

Into the famous Electric Ballroom - now an indoor market...

Then, to Inverness Street...

Then, back up Camden High Street, lined with more market stalls...

Amongst which, I found this strange one - you pay £10 for fifteen minutes, or £18 for 30 minutes - to have your feet nibbled by small fish...

Weird - but the fish did seem to be enjoying themselves...

Bidding farewell for now...

..I took a 168 back to the Royal Free again...

...and enjoyed a further 90 minutes with Pam, eventually leaving her around 6:30 as her dinner arrived...

Back home, spent time on calls and e-mails updating friends and family and enjoyed the fruits of today's (mostly) charity shop shopping...

Highlight of the Day : Out and about with my wee sister...
