An oath never taken...

Robert Fripp – World Financial Center NY 4/12/10 (Afternoon)
Tim Arnold – Sonnet 155
John Coltrane – Black Pearls
Rainbow – The Best of Rainbow

This morning it was bitterly cold...

...and the signs were here that Xmas is well and truly over...

At lunchtime, a walk down to Stockbridge...

....and a mooch around the charity shops, picking up “The Best of Rainbow” at the Cancer Research Shop...

Calls with Count Brodski and Dr Prog to arrange a meet up tomorrow...

I also booked a flight to return to Hemel on 22 January for four days, which will allow me to help out with Pam's transport to and from the hospital...

Meanwhile the news from there wasn’t good today – Pam’s upped steroids have still yet to kick in and her speech is now badly affected...

I called the Nurse Practitioner at the Royal Free to consult and she explained it’ll take a few days for the steroids to take effect...

It’s rubbish not being a doctor...

Called Pam tonight and she reassured me she’s physically well, it’s just the speech thing which is affecting her...

I was hoping Pam would have a good week of respite prior to her intensive treatment starting...

To cap it all, tonight it started snowing again...

Not the best ever day...

Highlight of the Day : Speaking to Pam and being able to tell her I was coming back down...

PS - further mails tonight with Pam's chums in Hemel painted not quite so bad a picture and gave some comfort...

Where would I be without these lovely ladies?

Still thinking of Pam. May the good days outweigh the bad ones and speed her recovery.
