Strange beautiful sky over Hemel this morning, our last day here for a while...
With Anne sleeping late, Pam and I drove to nearby Apsley for breakfast provisions and to have her car washed...
...a task she insisted upon finishing of herself...
Good to see blue skies again over the town...
...and Pam's street...
Around one, we drove to chum Debbie's for lunch, where Anne bonded with Murphy the Black Cat...
...who looks a wee bit like Meg the Black Cat...
Home for three and, just before four, Julie arrived with her daughters Annie and Libby and it was time for Anne and I to depart, Julie's husband John (with sons Freddie and Alfie in the back) very kindly giving us a lift to Luton Airport...
We said our goodbyes to Pam and will no doubt see her again soon - circumstances are such though that we can't really spend any more time right now away from Edinburgh...
As we waited for our flight to be called, coffee and caramel waffle biscuits were enjoyed...
...the wait continued...
We eventually took off around an hour late...
Below you can see your correspondent's belly and the hand of the Exec Producer...
An airport bus back to Crispycat Towers was followed by calls to sister Pam, my mum and sister Sheila, before we ended the day with a few comedy highlights from the Tivo to lighten the mood - "Big Bang Theory", "Dad's Army" and "Rich Hall/Otis Lee Crenshaw Live at the Hammersmith Apollo"...
Lights out...
Highlight of the Day : Sleeping in my own bed...
