Called the hospital this morning and spoke with Pam following her second brain operation, which took place late yesterday afternoon...

What a difference already - she was sounding back to her normal bubbly self...

Her speech was pretty much back to normal and she advised she is feeling much improved...

She was able to walk from her bed to the phone...

No word yet on a discharge time/date and, of course, they have to check for infection - if there is one, her treatment will be delayed...

Pam knows she must take this in her stride though - as she has to be at the top of her game for the treatment and there's nothing we can do about any infection related delay...

So, if there is one, we must all stay positive - it'll give her more time to recuperate and get back to "normal" before it starts...

Suffice to say it was great to hear her laughing and joking again after the dreadful time she's had since Anne and I came back to Scotland...

Home through the dark again...

A kind of celebrationary indian takeaway was orderd and collected from a new place, Bangla Kitchen...

While tasty, it was judged not to be quite as good as our trusty favourite, Bombay Feast...

Another CD arrrived today from Macclesfield Craig, who, yesterday, celebrated the third birthday of son Olli...

Broken Records' album "Let Me Come Home" was said disc...

I spent all night trying to think who the singer reminded me of and then I realised it sounds like the man from the Killers...

...and I like them.

Excellent anthemic stuff from the Broken Records I must say - and I vowed to send Craig a couple of discs back - burning them later tonight...

Ended the day with the return of Thursday staple "This Week", having earlier enjoyed "Big Bang Theory" and, for me, the best UK sitcom on telly at the moment, "Not Going Out"...

Highlight of the Day : Getting to speak again with sister Pam...
