End of another week...

Up early to download (see below) new releases...

Finally, this morning the transfer from the old to new J drive was completed and this erstwhile trusty servant can now join other abandoned hard drives in the drawer of abandoned hard drives...

Off to the place I go to lose only to be told, despite being the lowest at home I've been for ages, that they reckon I am actually up 1 from last week...

Extremely frustrating that I am 9 more by their reckoning than I was this morning at home...

Even with a couple of pounds added for clothing, this is unacceptable...

This afternoon, post creating this week's podcast (reverting to Virtual DJ, as the time saved by using Audacity is more than lost by having to then listen to the whole thing for botches), some looking at art...

This evening, a tasty Keralan Chicken Curry from the best cook in the house...

And an evening of telly mostly, despite the large influx of new sounds set out below...

Highlight of the Day : Knowing I have actually lost despite wat other machines might indicate...

New J drive and cookery...

Playlist
Cloudland Blue Quartet - Open Him Up (Single)
Matthew Shipp Trio - World Construct
Kristoffer Gildenlöw - Homebound

Slept in...

But then, we were out, for a visit to the Kitchen designer...

On the way home, a stop off for Anne to buy some trousers - and I got something I like...

The J drive keeps disconnecting whenever I put the laptop to sleep...

It must be around 12 years old (at least) and so, this little beauty will replace it and double the space available at J...

A handful of  tracks refused to copy over, including the lasty few from this...

I have a note of them all to sort...

The bass guitar is now down from the attic re proposed but, as yet, not in the future diary, recording...

It was Thursday afternoon but I did not play this...

The floor choice is now larger...

This evening, Anne was out for tea with old schoolchum Susan so Mr CBQ was cooking...

Fish was on the menu...

And, it turned out very well indeed!

Late on, taxi duties...

The transfer re the new J drive was still running as I retired to bed at midnight...

Highlight of the Day : New J drive and cookery...

Right let's get to it!

The beast was casting a shadow...

There are floor decisions to be made...

Excellent skies...

On the internet, "post pictures of your cats, Dave"...

Meg the Black Cat 1997-2014...

Crispy the Kitten 1984-2002...

Before breakfast, all these had already soundtracked...

Back to the machine just after 9...

Tony Isch had posted a short clip he'd bookmarked back in 2018...

Taken at "the track", a gambler was usrging his horse on only to, ultimately, taste defeat...

A rhythm slapping of his form paper on his hand led me to opine a piece could be conjured upo from this...

Tony advised "You can do it"...

So, I did...

Post all that, lunch...

...and some "Designated Survivor"...

In the afternoon, got 2020 down to these 30...

Also today, went about persuading Dr Prog and Prog Rock Willie that we all ought to go and see Goose in Glasgow in November - I compiled a live version of their "Dripfield" LP and provided that to them too...

Dr Prog was a "yes" - still to hear from PRW though...

This evening, football...

1-1 at half time, 10-2 for my team at full time...

Home for a tasty prawn pasta and more TV...

Highlight of the Day : Playing football and creating...

Walking around and finding nothing can still be okay...

Playlist
Cloudland Blue Quartet - The Bacharach & David EP
Hainbach - Voice Magnetic
Tony Williams Lifetime - Turn It Over

Up earlier today...

I "had to" go into work...

Which, of course, afforded a visit to Fopp...

No purchases but I did note a lot of David Bowie live recordings in the racks...

Both, on extortionately priced LPs...

..and on more reasonably priced CDs...

Also noted this 2CD Argent collection - all of which I have and my photo of which will allow me to create a digital version at home...

Post work, considerable wandering about and visiting of charity shops in search of CDs ensued - to, disappointingly, no avail...

As I made my way back to Princes St for the bus home, I noted the end of an era re Dave Bann's old Baked Potato Shop, which provided many a welcome Saturday lunch for us when we had our record shop down on St Mary Street...

Back home, for a reason whoch now (almost a week later_ escapes me, I was cooking my own tea - a concoction involving a white fish fillet and some out of date Japanese noodles...

It actually tasted better than that sounds...

Some "Designated Survivor" and then back to the machines around 8:30...

Before I knew it, it as time for bed...

Highlight of the Day : Out and about...
