Up...

Snow had fallen...

Later, snow had still fallen...

Although we are on holiday, there is, frankly, nowhere to go...

So, Anne will continue with her painting...

...and I took some pics...

Boiled egg for breakfast...

Next doors' twins built a snowman...

Correspondence with Creeker Craig re Creek sessions...

Here they all are...

They really ought to be out there on the Bandcamp...

A project for this year perhaps?

Meanwhile, another couple of LPs played...

This classic from Scars from 1982, an all time fave of mine...

...and, four days after receiving the new Eno LP as an Xmas present, I finally opened it...

It looks good...

...but, even though it was brand spanking new and sealed and on lovely thick vinyl, there were crackles and pops and wee scratches here and there...

It looks very nice...

I used the enclosed download code to obtain the WAV files and burned it to a nice white CD and put that in a nice white case, in keeping with Herr Rams' views on design...

...and, post the LP, enjoyed the CD in the back room as I leafed through one the two big books on Rams, also received as Xmas presents...

This evening, I finally found the hour long documentary from which the music comes and enjoyed that...

Some stills...

..and a full list of the music played - Dieter did some dancing around his home office to the Oscar Peterson piece...

Then, to listening to my iPhone playlist of "Unplayed" tracks...

What were the chances that this would pop up?

Well, 1 in 22,614 obviously..

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Listening to previously unplayed stuff...

Uneventful, pt 3006...

Up at 7, with Brian Eno on the cans...

Down for coffee, Anne's painting making good progress...

After listening, early on, to new and recent acquisitions, including Xmas presents, "I might play some LPs today", I thought to myself...

And, indeed, I did...

In fact, through the day, I managed 16 LPs all told - but not the one above...

Firstly, Alice Cooper, Edikanfo (produced by Eno), Gentle Giant and Hans Joachim Roedelius...

Then, Roxy, Sparks, Floyd and, from 1986, Toyah & Fripp...

Followed by Yes, their bassist, Ideal and Eno, with the boys from Cluster...

And the final four for today - Francoise Hardy, Crimso, Palais Schaumburg and the BCR...

Post all that record playing, it was time for tea and a lovely prawn based stir fry from the Exec Producer...

An Xmas celebrity, or rather, alumni, "University Challenge" series started...

As usual we came second...

Also on telly today, probably at lunchtime, more "Umbrella Academy"...

Then, to recording the final podcast of the year...

..while Anne continued her painting...

So, all in all, a fairly uneventful day...

Highlight of the Day : Catching up with my LPs...
