Sun Ra - A Fireside Chat With Lucifer
Up super early as there was work to be done...
...and downloading of new music...
This, was taken later when the sun was also up...
First thing though, putting the podcast together and getting it out on Mixcloud...
Anne's birthday flowers were still doing well...
Out...
A lift to the office, where more admin done to keep the bacon rolling in...
Free just before 12 and a visit to Fopp...
Swithered over this but, on checking my phone, I already had it...
Ah, the perils of having built up a 25,000 LP collection/library over 54 years...
Anyway, it’s tasty and, dare I say it, tangy…
Home...
Lunch and some "Leverage"...
Then, back to the machines...
Edward Spark alerted me to a new release from Socool with Sparky's "label boss" doing some poetry over the top...
It was agreed I should attempt a completely unsolicited instrumental remix...
In around an hour it was almost ready but a break for tea was the order of the day..
We had supposed to have been going to Tuk Tuk with Chris with a Ch but he never confirmed arrangements, so, instead, Anne did these...
Yowsah!
A call with Chris - he'd been in Nottingham and there was stuff going on re his house sale/purchase and he'd completely forgotten...
Not to worry - we can do it soon...
Then, back to finish off the mix...
Then, did a beatless mix...
Rest of the evening spent listening back and mucking about on my phone re an AI app..
Here is "a man sitting under two suns on a faraway planet"...
...and here's me and Sparky...
This is its idea of "Brian Eno"...
...and David Reilly...
...and Edward Spark...
...and Cloudland Blue...
OK that's enough of that...
Ended the day with Sun Ra...
Apparently nuclear war is a, ahem, "motherfucker"...
Highlight of the Day : Anne's steak dinner...
