Up very early...

Found myself in Tesco's car park at 8:15 sitting in the car recording the links for today's podcast (way behind re that!) and the between song intros re the Capital Models covers set...

Before actually doing some shopping for breakfast provisions...

Post breakfast, set about editing the podcast links then recording it...

Meanwhile Anne was working on a garden project...

Just after midday, I was ready to upload...

A quick lunch, then to rehearsing the set and intros...

Out to my mum's around 3 with, amongst other things, teaching her how to put her hearing aids in and re-reading her electricity meter due to a misreading by sister Sheila resulting in rather an outlandish bill...

Back home and the bees were in their favourite bush...

After some searching around, eventually secured a small Indian takeaway from Bombay Feast...

The rest of the evening was spent enjoying "The Martian" and "Iron Man 3"...

That was it...

While there was only one set, it was quite beautiful...

The play itself is, of course, quite inconsequential - it's the meanings others have put and continue to put on it which have made it one of the most iconic theatre pieces written in the 20th Century...

Very good indeed - once I got over the inconsequentiality of it all...

Post performance, we stepped outside into a crowd awaiting a very loud and bright multimedia experience to open the Festival, however, we did not wait to see it...

Theresa May has a 2:2 in Geography - probably worse than your average Geography teacher - while Jeremy Corbyn has two Es at A Level - and that's it...

Oh dear...

There are treatises on Clownfish and a superb comparison of The Guiness Book of Records he received aged 9 in 1974 against that presented to his own 9 year old son in 2017...

Today, updating my lists of Top 10 Albums of the Year, new rules being that the LPs chosen had to have been acquired in the year of release - so, no hindsight...

Of course for the years 1959-1971, when I didn't actually buy any LPs, the rules were suspended...

Although in 1970 through to around 1974, I allowed LPs bought over the next two or three years to be included...

Along with that, had a play through the set while Anne was out with Lynn, trying out my between song chat...

All told, we will play for an hour...
