Massive playlist today as I went through my top tens for the 70's, 80s and 00's on shuffleplay...

In the evening, home and then, back out and up to the University...

The Festival has started...

Past mobbed tennis courts...

...and along to George Square...

We liked the look of this and bagged tix later on this evening to add to our already busy schedule for the rest of August...

Tonight's entertainment was to be Simon Evans' "Genius 2.0", far left...

As opposed to this, although it's a good poster...

Here's Mr Evans...

Pre show drinks in the square...

...before heading to the venue...

It's socio-political comedy, staring off with a German Lied which abruptly changes to the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the UK"...

There are reminiscences about Kenneth Clark’s iconic BBC series "Civilisation", repeated forgetful trips upstairs and monologues on how cats are more dangerous than carbon monoxide and general laments on just how un-genius like we are in the UK these days...

Theresa May has a 2:2 in Geography - probably worse than your average Geography teacher - while Jeremy Corbyn has two Es at A Level - and that's it...

Oh dear...

There are treatises on Clownfish and a superb comparison of The Guiness Book of Records he received aged 9 in 1974 against that presented to his own 9 year old son in 2017...

2004 - full of actual facts...

2017 - mostly pictures and celebrity nonsense...

There is dumbing down in a nutshell...

The show closed with the Sex Pistols' "God Save the Queen"...

A top notch start to the festival feast, before making our way back to the car and home... .

Later, once again demonstrating to Twitter how music should be filed...

...which led to today's artwork, "One Section"...

Highlight of the Day : Simon Evans...
