Overnight, yesterday's recital recorded from BBC iPlayer for posterity...

With nose and eyes streaming, it was nonetheless up and out just after 7:30 - the Cloudland Blue Mobile needs some work and the garage is a 30 minute drive away..

With a note that we would be called by 5 this afternoon, we took a bus from the far side of town, into said town and to Dishoom in St Andrew Square for a very tasty but unpictured Indian style breakfast...

Here, the EP awaits sustenance...

Here, the kitchen on the way out...

We had a couple of ideas as to what we might do today but no set plans other than a classical recital in a church at Tollcross at 3:30...

As regards planning, the daily diary of the Edinburgh Fringe runs to almost 200 pages!

We went to the Scottish National Gallery and had a look around...

It was packed...

...with visitors and with top paintings...

This, of Verona...

...is one of my faves...

The EP liked the Monarch of the Glen...

Upstairs, some older items...

...including this Da Vinci of Madonna and child...

...and this triptych from around 1300, whose colours remain brilliant...

On the way out, a quick pic of pics seen on the way in - these undertaken by staff and volunteers at the gallery - hidden talents...

My lurgi were doing for me and we decided to call it a day around noon...

A walk through Princes St Gardens...

...and a bus journey home, the rest of the day spent being pathetic and blowing my nose once a minute...

A wee visitor buoyed...

Just before 5, a call...

A part required re the handbrake on the Cloudland Blue Mobile and so, we will be on the bus till at least Thursday...

In the evening, the end of "Ackley Bridge" - it's a bit like "Grange Hill" - and this week's "Holby City"...

A superb chicken casserole also very much enjoyed - culinary prowess once again from the hands of the Exec Producer...

Today's artwork, "At the Gallery"...

Highlight of the Day : Anne's chicken casserole...

Anne's chicken casserole, better than Da Vinci. That's a statement.
