Mahavishnu Orchestra actual LP (side 1 then the CD)
Tomorrow's (today's) CD of the day
2 Chambers Brothers
2 CBQ incl tomorrow's new release
1 brand new thing
Eclectic!
The scene in the back room this morning - some filing still to be done...
Up very late indeed...
Today's CD box, from Holborne to Jadin...
Today, Ibert's chamber music on Brilliant - a great label for excellent quality bargain boxes like this...
Not as "delightful" as "classical" era works...
...or as challenging as it could be...
...but enjoyable nonetheless...
Not as enjoyable though as the Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Birds of Fire"...
Originally bought, 2nd hand, on 12 April 1975 for 90p (£11.25 in today’s money)…
This is not that, rather a copy picked up in a cheapo bin at a record fair a couple of years ago...
After enduring the crackles and pops (and a couple of jumps) on side one, I played side two via this...
Crystal clear - like being in the studio with “the lads” and Ken Scott, back in August 1972!
Meanwhile, Anne was concocting a very tasty Chili...
...which accompanied, initially, an evening of TV...
Followed by some work at the computer pre bedtime...
Lights out at midnight...
Highlight of the Day: Old music...
