Playlist
Sunday and a large playlist as, of course, Sunday is, these days, podcast recording day...
Plus the remaining plays re #CDFriday and yesterday's CD Box choice from Monteverdi...
Today's as yet unplayed pick comes from Box No 39, all Mozart...
And so, another Mozart disc...
Michel Corboz's take on Mozart's "Requiem", from 1976...
I bought this for my Dad back in 1991, having researched what was, at the time the "best" rendition...
It came into my collection when my dad died, in June 2003...
Listening now as I write this entry and it really is quite beautiful...
These days, one of several renditions in my library of the genius's final work...
Anyway, today, I was up reasonably early and doing the things I "have" to do each morning to keep my pointless projects up to date...
Scenes...
...followed by toast and coffee for breakfast...
Then, with Anne off to PickleBall, back to the machines...
Various things slowed down the process of compiling and recording and uploading this week's podcast - including the fact that I didn't actually have the "requisite" 7 back catalogue albums of the day, as fewer than seven had been brought in during the week; and I didn't have the requisite "20 other items new into the library" as there weren't 20...
So, some listening and downloading and using unused albums from last week to round things off...
By the time Anne arrived back, I still hadn't even started recording the links...
So, lunch first and a "Chicago PD", before Anne headed out again to the shops and I got things done...
Late afternoon we were keeping an eye on Rangers v Hearts - 0-1, 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 3-2, 4-2 - not a disaster exactly but not the best...
Winter Olympics were also on, Britain winning a couple of Golds...
Listening back to the podcast - even though it was already up...
Some "Younger" and a tasty, unpictured prawn pasta tea...
Even more "Chicago PD" then dishes...
...and bed at an almost unheard of 11pm...
Weekend over...
Highlight of the Day: Podcasting...
