It's not every day you're 70 but it might be two days...

Playlist

Up late...

A healthy breakfast...

Then, prompted by a post on BlueSky, fetched my old charts out of the attic...

Someone posted Rod Argent's top 10 from week 40 of 1973...

So...

I found mine..

...but Rod's was actually from week 41...

Straight in at Number 1 for ELO with "Showdown"...

Then, podcasting...

Two and a half hours of work on that...

Then the CD Box for today, Laks to Liszt...

Chose a work by David Lang of Bang on a Can, "The Passing Measures", released back in 2000...

Commissioned by the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, it's one 42 minute, almost ambient, piece...

Tasty/Recommended...

Tonight, out to celebrate sister Sheila's upcoming 70th (on Tuesday)...

Andy, Tori and the boys were up from Leeds - they'd been at Glenshee skii-ing and were stopping off on the way home...

We were at GiGis in Bonnyrigg...

A good time was had by all...

Here's Senior entertaining Kerr and Anne with tales of different types of Driving Licenses...

The starters arrived - Pate for Anne...

A half pasta for your correspondent...

Garlic Bread for the youngsters...

Even wee Belle/Bonnie (aka BB) had a nice plateful of tasty stuff...

...some of which ended up in her hair...

So it is with one year olds...

The birthday girl also had Pate...

Julie toasted the table...

A phone with something or other on it can keep young boys thankfully quiet...

Mains arrived...

Pizza GiGi...

Rigatoni for Anne...

Fish & Chips for Senior...

Chicken Milanese was ordered by Sheila, without actually knowing what Chicken Milanese was...

Group pic by young Kerr...

Post meal shenanigans...

..and a cake, baked and decorated by Julie...

Reposed for a better face LOL....

Children continued to entertain...

Cards...

Puddings for those who wanted puddings...

...and flowers (and unpictured card) from us..

We all headed home around 8, a top night having been had...

We enjoyed coffee and cake back home and ended the day, as usual, with a few items on the TV...

Highlight of the Day: Family night out...
