Up and working on collecting together the demos for the pool of tracks for "GLAM! III", adding a load of tracks forgotten about yesterday...
The long-list now runs to 120 - enough to keep me going until "GLAM! FIVE!" in 2027...
The playlist soundtracked the morning...
A call from Moira in Bearsden - not feeling too great and probably best if we postpone today's planned visit...
An intervention form daughter Lindsay and the visit was back on...
We left around 11:30, soundtracked by David Gilmour's new LP and arrived around 12:45 for top chat and a light lunch with a family I've known for 60 years, having met them first in 1964, when Lindsay was around a year old old...
Here we are in a recently discovered newspaper photo, on the beach at Millport - my mum, Sheila, Moira, Lindsay, me...
...and here, Moira, Lex and Lindsay today...
Moira and Lex now 88, Lindsay 60...
Time flies...
Accordingly, much of the chat centred around the problems of getting old and, of course, stories of my mum were related to her two old friends and their daughter...
We hope to visit again soon...
A drive into Glasgow accompanied by Taylor Swift and to nephew Olly's flat, parking there before we walked round to the Ben Nevis on Argyle St, where we met up with nephew craig and his partner, Jillian for drinks...
More good chat and then, a further short walk along to Ashoka...
...where we all enjoyed top nosh, courtesy Crispycat Recordings and its Exec Producer...
As per the last time we were here, to start, Olly and I shared a pakora feast - ya dancer...
...the same exclamation issuing forth from Craig re his Lahore Salmon...
Fish Pakora for Jillian...
...while Anne kept her powder dry for her main...
Lamb Karahi Bhuna for me, with a Peshwari Naan...
Creamy Masala Lamb and boiled rice for Olly...
The hottest prawn dish on the menu plus a Peshwari Naan for Craig...
Chicken Korma and Pilau Rice for Jillian and a not yet arrived at the time of the pic and described as very tasty indeed Chicken Rogan Josh with Cream plus Plain Naan for the Exec Producer...
Craig entertained us by finishing off both chicken curries and both lamb curries while claiming to be a pescatarian...
A good night out indeed...
A walk back to the car, bidding farewell to Craig and Jillian and then introducing Olly to the delights of "BOB" in Sainsbury's, before the drive home, to the accompaniment of Jon Anderson's new "Yes" album...
Home just after nine for coffees - awaiting Olly's verdict on the BOB...
While Anne watched the Strictly results, I enjoyed the latest from Focus and then started on CBQ's "Strand", not due out until next June, such is the backlog of music I have ready to go out into the world...
"Fake or Fortune" this week - not as good as usual, a piano thought to have belonged to John Lennon and a guitar thought to have belonged to Ronnie Wood - it was quite obvious from the scant info available to the investigators that both claims were absolutely true but, unfortunately, no actual provenance could be ascertained and so the current owners were left disappointed...
I say that but was advised by Anne of the outcome, as, of course, I'd fallen asleep by then...
Lights out...
