Up reasonably late, after a restless night...

Listening to the catalogue pieces for the Whitby CDs and writing this up...

Breakfast...

"Homes Under the Hammer", Anne off out for a long lunch...

A long (but not quite as long as Anne's lunch) call to arrange Buildings Insurance for an unoccupied property...

The mixing desk arrived...

Some considerable time spent rejigging and tidying until, eventually, this was deemed its place...

I did not, however, try it out to any extent...

I merely noted that the USB connection to the laptop is unfathomable - as is the super duper software I was able to download...

It will work just fine as a mixing desk though...

Meanwhile sister Sheila had been overseeing the removal of the Stanna stairlift at mum's...

Stairs fully visible again for the first time in almost 25 years...

This afternoon, time, once again, to write up the red book of CDs I own...

On to page 80 of a book started in 2013, with each page holding 66 CDs...

No tea for Anne, post her return, having wined and dined at the French Institute with chums Debbie and Teresa...

So, a cheeky wee prawn based thing was concocted...

Onion, red pepper, courgette, peas, chopped tomatoes, soya sauce, honey, salt, pepper, chili flakes and, of course, said prawns...

A little bit of cheese rounded things off nicely...

Surprisingly, considering it was a CBQ concoction, very tasty...

Two episodes of "The Lincoln Lawyer" entertained nicely...

Then "Bake Off" and so, upstairs - to file CDs and, generally, tidy...

The back room remains a mess though...

Hmmm...

Crispycat Latest Release

Between 1980 and 1995, Sombre Reptiles released 35 LPs. At present, all of these albums are deleted. "Songs of the Sombre Reptiles 1980-1995" is an 81 Track Virtual 6CD/10LP Box Set covering this pre-Cloudland Blue Quartet period. The versions of the songs included in the Box Set are taken from eight sources, recorded between 1993 and 1996: The three long deleted volumes of "Songs of the Sombre Reptiles", originally released on cassette in 1993 and 1994 via Edinburgh Record Shop, Reptile Records - all but 3 of the 57 tracks from these three records are included; Further album tracks from the final four Sombre Reptiles records, "Galleryshard (1993), "Kernelcrux" (1994), "Bitter Sweet Covers" (1995) and "Starcrossfix" (1995); Previously unreleased re-recordings from 1996, just before Sombre Reptiles became Cloudland Blue Quartet.

Cloudland Blue Eclectic Selection

In a one-man crusade to encourage the world to broaden its musical horizons, David has been broadcasting a weekly Eclectic Selection of music from across his vast record collection since 2014. On the programme each week, you'll hear 25 Tracks, kicking off with David's LP of the Week, followed by his six other LPs of the day, three or so CBQ, or CBQ related, tracks, a single of the week (if there is one), a couple more singles (if there are any) and a further eclectic mix of other things new into the collection... It's eclectic!
