Topaz!

This happened 41 years ago on this very day...

Happily, Executive Production continues to be applied...

But it doesn't come into play quite yet if I get up at 4:53...

As ever, virtual "shopping" (or, more accurately "shoplifting") for music was taking place - and I found that quite a few ECM titles are now available for me to nab via downloading...

And so, nabbed they were, under good skies...

Breakfast around 9...

Then to moving things forward on quite a few fronts re what needs to be done re my mum...

Into town to my office with Anne (Happy Anniversary) to sort a few things re her mum and to the solicitor to sort further things for mine...

This, nearby, was to be the venue of an upcoming day out with chums Yuill, Raymond and Bernie - discovered later though that it's shut on a Monday, our chosen day...

So, we'll be off to The Golden Dragon instead...

Waved goodbye to Anne...

...and headed into Fopp - nothing purchased but a few things noted...

A walk up to Tollcross for a shifty around the chazzas...

Found a couple of things in the Shelter shop...

Of course, on returning home I found I'd already bought this in April 2016...

...which doubled the price of this to £4...

Worth it...

Found myself here...

 ...and decided to take a bus down to Canonmills to the Bethany shop there...

Uh oh...

Back up to Princes St...

A bus to Shandwick Place for a bread purchase - Anne visiting her mum then off to Pilates, having done some shopping (Happy Anniversary) but having forgotten bread...

No rush once I got there re catching a bus home...

Post bread securement, onto a 100 Airport Bus to the bottom of the hill...

...soundtracked by this wee beauty...

26 was waited upon - the wait including a mooch around GuitarGuitar...

Said 26 up to the terminus and a walk down to Crispycat Towers on a beautiful afternoon...

Home...

My anniversary present...

To listening and ripping, including the two titles above (well, not ripping the bassoon set)...

The full haul - someone had obviously just off-loaded a huge collection to the Canonmills shop - all £2...

By the looks of some of these (quite a few still unopened) I guess the donor was a reviewer for some outlet or other, receiving freebies by the bucketload...

But who am I to complain...

And so, under still good skies, listening began...

...followed by Anne's return..

I'd tidied up the headphone stash...

Where's the beast?

Ah...

Swapped the rocking chair for the Ikea Black one...

The hat on the floor is one year old today...

Downstairs for Baked Potato, "Mastermind", "Only Connect", "University Challenge" (125 this week) and "The Cleaner", before heading back up for some more listening etc...

Hit the sack with "Callingstill"...
