A Monday - stupid uptime...

An eventful September, gone...
Out to Loanhead...

My mum's notes re her funeral, include her two hymn choices...

"Thine Be The Glory" was also sung at my dad's funeral in 2003 and sister Pam's in 2011...

Sister Sheila reckoned the loft was empty...

Sticking my phone up through the access and taking a couple of pics, proved her wrong...

More work...

And so the content includes suitcases, containing who knows what (or, possibly nothing) plus old beds and, erm, doors...

And an ungodly method of insulation...

Home...

Prepping funeral entry, exit and pictorial tribute accompanying music...

Anne to Pilates, followed by baked potatoes...

135 on "University Challenge" followed by some "Ludwig"...

Relaxing...

...with lovely rum cake brought back from the Caribbean by Gillian on collecting Luna...

Yum...

Highlight of the Day: Hmmm...  The cake...

Meeting the baby...

Playlist
Capital Models - The 2011 Reunion Sessions
Capital Models - The 2011 Reunion Sessions Vol 1 (2011-02-18)
Various - Superfly Soul
Barry White - I've Got So Much to Give
Emma Russack - About the Girl
Hilda Gudnadottir - Joker: Folie (OST)

Up at a time which, these days, might well be considered as being "late"...

Working on the Capital Models 2011 tapes - the first volume will be released on 4 October...

Also, found material in the "Providence" folder, which could be used to create bonus material for that CBQ release, also due 4 October...

So, that was the morning away...

This afternoon, out and over to Keith and Maureen's, to meet new recruit, Ruby, for the first time - even though she's around 6 months now...

Usurped newest member of the family, Lily was also there, like Ruby's dad, expressing a little consternation re the cameraman...

Keith's piano learning continues apace...

His piano came in handy re a WhatsApp discussion with the band on whether or not the fourth chord in the bridge of "Human" by the Killers ought to be D#m or D#Dim...

Chat and carousing continued in the living room...

In the backroom, Lily was revealed as having a love of bagpipes...

..which drove me back through to the living room...

Generational portrait...

A lovely spread (as ever) was provided and much enjoyed...

Bobby loves a baby...

Keith explained that, while he can play the opening theme from Bach's "Goldberg Variations", if I asked him to play an A Chord, he wouldn't know how...

Hmmm - not quite time to bring him into the band...

Post tea shenanigans...

...included a "tent" for Lily...

...and cuddling for Ruby...

A tent can also be worn...

Cousin Craig was also in attendance...

He also...

...likes a baby...

...and a baby's cousin...

Kitty too, likes a baby...

Great aunties looked on...

Cuteness competition...

Hmmm...

Home...

...to the dark...

Late on, 4LPs sampled...

That was it...

Highlight of the Day: Meeting the baby...

Playlist
Body Count (Featuring David Gilmour) - Comfortably Numb
Capital Models - 2024-09-28 (DR/JB/JW/KA)

Up - what time is it?

Ah...

Prepping, breakfasting, car packing and then over to Roslin for our 2nd and final rehearsal for the 5 October gig...

We didn't play all the songs, just the ones that needed work - including amending a few keys...

Here, the scene at half time...

Ready, kind of...

To my mum's...

Sorting out the freezer content...

Sheila and I trawling through mountains of old stuff - we found this from the Johnstone Advertiser, Friday 4/9/64…

L-R Mum, Sheila, Moira, Lindsay, me...

And this, the beast at Reptile Records - judging by the fact that everything in the wall display was from my collection, this was most likely late 1991...

Kitty reckons my shirt is now back on trend...

Home for a quiche and bean based tea...

...with a big black bag of "paperwork" to be sorted...

This, all that was to be kept...

Well done the Exec Producer...

Highlight of the Day: Rehearsing...
