What time is it?

Ah, ok...

What day is it?

Ah, OK...

Time for some diary writing and some listening to some "Disquietmusik"...

Off out around 9 and over to Specsavers to pick up the new computer glasses...

...main specs still to arrive...

...then, to Lidl for coffee, butter, biscuits and a couple of croissants, enjoyed back home with the EP for breakfast...

Work...

If only I'd taken notes, I could advise (to me in the future) exactly what I did...

But I didn't...

Carer review at mum's was missed due to the above...

Lunch with Anne and a couple of "Brassic" - starting series 3 already...

Sister Sheila WhatsApp'd me her recording of the carer meet - spent some considerable time making notes on what was said...

The big problem is that mum has too high expectations of the carers...

They have tasks to do and they do them...

They work for a private company (unlike the previous Lothian Council carers she had pre her having to go into hospital last October) and so, they need to/are under huge pressure to, get on to the next client asap...

But Mum has no concept of the bigger picture in which the carers operate...

While they definitely need to engage a lot more while doing their tasks, we need to recognise that, if they are finished what needs to be done after 25 mins of a 30 min visit, they are, sadly, going to have to go...

They cannot sit and chat for even 5 mins, as they are under so much pressure - pressure of which mum has zero concept....

If, after today’s review, the carers actually engage while tasking, that will be a big step forward...

This afternoon, Anne was out on errands then visiting her mum - compared to mine, she's in a pretty bad way - so sad...

Mine seems never to be thankful for her situation - she just moans about it constantly...

Anyway - while Anne was out, I took the opportunity to record the links for the four "missing" podcasts  - weeks 32-36 and will put them together and upload over the next few days, which will, of course, mean far fewer listens but, hey ho...

Tasty chicken and courgette pasta for tea with more "Brassic"...

Around 8:30, wee Luna arrived - Gillian and Olly are off for a Caribbean cruise so we have her for 13 days from today...

Any food makes her feel right at home...

Some tidying of the back room...

...soundtracked by a classic from It Bites...

More "Brassic" - first 5 of season 3 watched already!

Some last minute downloading pre bed around 12...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : The return of Luna...
