Up even earlier than normal...
...but the cat routine was normal...
Luring me to the back door...
...via the kitchen...
...getting me to open the door...
...leading me to the food...
...and providing said food...
Coffee time...
...and then...
...spent the majority of the day listening back to and uploading onto Bandcamp, the 7 hour album of every song Capital Models have played since the start of the latest version, back in 2017, 123 songs in all...
And called it "Repertoire"...
Anne returned from Zumba, having not gone for coffee and cake today, as Lynn was too unwell to do Zumba...
A "Sister Boniface" with lunch, then, back to work...
...while Luna and Anne watched what was going outside...
Only one track was added to what is, in effect, the folder marked "reference recordings"...
Here is "The "In" Crowd" being "normalised"...
I had to mention in the notes that these recordings are not exactly "professional"..
""Repertoire", free to stream/Name Your Price to Download, is a collection from Capital Models, the 1980 Edinburgh New Wave group, now, a covers band, albeit one which plays other people's songs like they are the group's own compositions, with just over a third of the tracks (42/123) being songs by David Bowie, Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music, Lou Reed/Velvet Underground and Brian Eno.
This the band's entire repertoire from the start of its resurgence in 2017, to now, which explains the title of this over 7 hours long box-set-equivalent release.
"Caveat Emptor" of course though. The recordings were all made during rehearsals, for band reference purposes only, with no thought of them ever being made public.
And you should also be aware that the group does seem to find it impossible to play any song, even once, without at least one member making at least one absolute howler.
So, you know, many of these are extremely rough , the final 15 on here so much so, that they are only available as bonuses to downloaders.
Maybe one day these songs will be properly recorded. Don't hold your breath though..."
I had "uploader's regret" re the project but it's there, for now...
At 6:30 over to the football...
A good tight game, which my team ended up losing 6-4...
Once again, I spent most of the game in goal...
And, it was a couple of own goals that did for us...
Most likely because I didn't shout "Keeper!"...
Oh well...
And, of course, quite a few of the guys turned up 10-15 mins late so we played till 8:15 and I was late home...
A tasty tea awaited...
...and a nice message tonight from Mr Assistant re the "final" mixes I provided to him last night...
Nothing specific watched on telly tonight...
Late on, downloaded one nice new thing...
That was it...
Highlight of the Day : Publishing something at last from the "new" Capital Models, after nearly 8 years...
