Yes, I was up early...

...and the first part of the day was spent writing up the last 18 days of this...

And so, I was up to date...

Anne had a £20 note with the king on it - which is a thing...

Worked on a remix of "Front Porch" - which is due out on Friday so, you know, leaving things late as usual...

The previous mix was done back in December...

Also revamped the cover slightly...

...and renamed the LP "Front Porch: A Day Sitting in a Chair", the latter part being an 18 minute piano based piece I recorded in May 1998...

Also sorted out my mum's TV licence...

A "Brassic" watched with lunch...

At 3, off out to Loanhead to prep mum for her birthday tea out...

Off we trundled...

...down to...

...The Radhuni...

I can now advise that mum likes poppadoms, spiced onions, mango chutney and vegetable pakoras along with Chicken Malayan...

Ali, Harris and Julie were along too, which was the reason we were doing this today and not yesterday - and which also meant Anne could not attend, as she was at Tynecastle, watching Hearts lose for the 6th or 7th time in a row, this time to Dundee Utd...

Harris was kept occupied by an iPad at the table...

Ah remember the old days when children were kept under control by their parents rather than by machines...

Sister Sheila was also in attendance and enjoying poppadoms too...

She did not know what her starter was - she was sharing lamb samosas and onion bhajis with Julie - she was taken by surprise that a lamb samosa should taste of lamb...

Pakora for me...

Chicken Tikka for Ali - while Harris was on the chicken nuggets and chips...

A message for mum from nephew Andy and his boys was much appreciated...

The iPad was working...

At last the mains arrived and mum was pleased, having survived on scraps so far...

Lamb Karai, Lamb Kebab and Chicken Tikka Massalam for the gents...

Mango Chicken, Alloo Bindi and Chicken Korma for the ladies...

...both sets of dishes with rice and naan...

Chicken Malayan for mum with Pilau Rice

Too much but she very much enjoyed what she ate - and we all dipped into the left overs...

Approaching 7, it was time to get mum back home for her evening carers' visit...

...another trundle up the road and she was back in situ in plenty of time...

Uneventful drive home for some more "Brassic" and listening back to today's work, followed by the upcoming "Upside Down Remixed" EP from Edward Spark, which will feature 4 mixes by Mr CBQ...

To bed around midnight...

A good day...

Highlight of the Day : Out with the family...
