Right, what did I do today?

Up early and working again on the piece incorporating Blue Sun Chasing's ambient stems...

Today, however, I took things further, firstly by working on the sounds of Australian elevators and slowing them down to around 10%...

And, on Facebook yesterday, old school chum Fred Hessler (with whom I was in Heartband in 1978) sent me a piano piece he'd done, off the cuff, via the Fleecebook...

I incorporated that too, also slightly slowed and, in places, reversed - and then added the field recording I made in March last year for the "Front Porch" LP...

And so, "Hessler Nowik" came to be...

An e-mail this morning from Ian Sclater re the new edition of Artmag...

...my article on Nantes has been published, including the use of one of my photos as the main pic...

After last night's disappointment re the Balerno gig, this lifted the spirits somewhat...

The first half hour or so of the Vienna New Year's Day concert was enjoyed...

Today, I was under the weather...

Spent some time compiling tracks for the first 2024 podcast...

Post lunch, took Anne round to Jane's and then both ladies to the cinema at Fountain Park to see "Wonka"...

Me? I drove on to Morningside, parked on the roof of Waitrose and took a look round the shops, finding just one thing, for £1.99 at Oxfam...

Nice...

Home and spent the rest of the afternoon recording the podcast...

Anne advised she was off out for tea with Jane, so I set about cooking a fish based pasta...

...which turned out well but, goddammit, I forgot the peas!

On Anne's return, I'd done all the dishes so only the, erm, "aroma", of what I'd cooked remained as witness to what had been happening...

This week's "Reacher" enjoyed with dips n chips...

Then, I fell asleep as we continued to watch the New Year's Day concert from Vienna...

Woke up for Graham Norton, after which, totally goosed, off to bed with Golden Earring...

Highlight of the Day : Reacher...
