Up reasonably early with the intention of updating this...

I failed...

Scenes...

The fridge was reasonably full, including Anne's trifle prep for today's visitors...

Post breakfast, decided to go and visit my mum again, with the intention of giving her more ideas on how things might be when she gets home and, generally, to cheer her up after yesterday's revelations...

Succeeded on both counts and she much appreciated my unexpected pop by...

On exiting, a BeReal from Niece Kitty in that Newcastle...

Drove back via Morningside and popped into Waitrose to look for the Spanish biscuit things featured in the final part of Michael Portillo's Andalucia series...

Success...

I quickly put together a playlist for the visit by collating around 20 or so multi disc compilations and then painstakingly going through and deleting unwanted items - leaving me a with a 350 song, 20 hour selection...

While I was doing this, Anne was prepping

The scene was set...

...and Lynn and Ross, our first foots, arrived at 1 for an afternoon and evening of top nosh, top chat, top drinks etc etc...

The squirrel entertained at the feeding station...

Post initial drinks and nibbles, to the main event...

Tasty lasagne...

Top notch trifle...

...and more drinks...

Then, back to the livingroom for more drinks, more nibbles...

...and we even broke out the orange Spanish biscuits, which were much enjoyed...

Top times...

After around 8 hours or so, off they went into the night, picking their car up tomorrow...

Dishes done and everything tidied...

Snoozing on the sofas and then bed just before midnight...

A good Saturday - Queens even managed a 1-1 draw, coming from behind at home to Alloa...

Highlight of the Day : Visit from Lynn & Ross...
