A happy birthday today to nephew Andy, seen here many many years ago, on guitar while his younger brother Ali does some singing...

The dynamic duo indeed...

Up just after 7...

No work to be done re the podcast apart form uploading it and applying the tracklist and notes...

I had been listening to an old one overnight - the one with nephew Olly guesting - released 6 years ago this week...

Then to sourcing and downloading the latest classical releases - too late for he podcast but there was plenty (and then some!) to fill it in any case...

Out around 10:30 heading for the record fair at Summerhall...

Past the Odeon, where, 49 years ago this month I witnessed Wizzard - my first concert...

Into the fair - chocka with records and idiots buying them...

(OK I realise you will adjudge me an idiot too re what is shown below)...

The paintings (Iain Patterson's "Balance" collection) adorning the walls were good though...

...and out in the corridor too...

Dr Prog was on form...

...and we retired, purchases having been made - and stopped in at Till's bookshop (where the Doc returned later to purchase a Michael Palin diary)...

Coffee and cake time at the place on the corner of Buccleuch St - which, it turned out Dr & Mrs Prog attended just yesterday...

Your correspondent's pile...

The bottom two acquired at the fair, those above at pre fair charity shops...

The doc looked suitably smug at the deal he'd got re a 3CD/DVD Weather Report box set (which I already have)...

Across town, Jane and Anne and their mum were enjoying lunch...

There was a loose arrangement for me to go and bring everyone home so, having bidden farewell to the doc, I drove to Dalry and bought more charity shop discs as I awaited a taxi call...

It turned out Anne and family made their own way home..

I arrived back at Crispycat Towers shortly before her, bearing this pile...

£3...

£1...

£1...

£1...

From the fair for £4...

...idiot...

And this, foregone the last time and now acquired for £7.50, a 3CD set...

Turned out to be not as good as I'd hoped....

Oh well..

These four for 25p each...

...including a hip hop selection which turned out to be a CD-R with photocopied cover which wouldn't rip (I sourced it instead from the net)...

And, finally, there for a quid each...

As the listen and rip commenced, Fang arrived once more...

No tea for Anne but this fish based item nourished your correspondent...

...and an evening of, mainly, "The Black List" and prepping for a session tomorrow re backing vocals...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Out with the doc...

Today's new music:-
