Our last full day in Seville - the trip has flown past...

Up and working on this...

...around 6:25 Spanish time...

Then, as Anne arose, out for breakfast provisions...

...and, post breakfast, we were off out for another day's walking...

This time, we made our way North, to the Macarena District, of which we'd heard good things, including these old fortifications...

Ok, that's enough fortifications, what's that in the background?

...a church...

...opposite this good street...

In we went to admire the idolatry...

From far...

...and a-near...

Another The Upside Down Beast in the Roof scenario created...

I imagine a statue cried some tears at some point...

Back out and a walk around the environs...

...this the parliament, with a large, unseen in this pic, hospital behind it...

We found nothing of any interest on our wanderings up past said parliament and hospital and so, just turned around and ambled back down to the churros hut which stands over the road from the church...

They were good...

The stand has been here since 1927...

Post tasty Churros we walked down through the neighbourhood...

Noting interesting (to me, anyway) things...

...and interesting (to me, anyway) buildings...

...until we came to the Plaza de la Alameda de Hercules...

...and had a bit of a rest...

Then, onwards, with no real idea of where we were going...

We ended up in the square where we'd visited El Corte Ingles the other day...

We obtained lunch from the Aldi on the same square - Empanadas and freshly squeezed orange juice...

...before walking back along past The Mushroom Thing to the apartment...

Post some recharging, we were off out again, our target the Santa Cruz area we'd discovered yesterday...

Down through the Alfalfa...

...and past the Cathedral...

...and in, with much looking around the small shops in the district...

We walked past this a few days ago...

Today, though, we partook...

Yum...

We passed a Fandango theatre...

...and, in this shop, Orange Tree Sevilla, which is filled entirely with things related to Seville Oranges (apparently there are 50,000 orange trees in the city), I bought the Seville Mug (from which I am sipping a coffee as I write this, a week from now - the final entry of the trip to be written up) and a wee thing for my mum...

I just noticed the lady was even wearing orange trousers...

We went back to the other most interesting shop and Anne purchased a bracelet as a birthday gift from her mum...

Then, a search ensued for what looked like a lovely wee bar we'd passed on our way back from the Plaza de Espana yesterday...

Found it...

The view from our table...

...and our table...

...and Anne's bracelet...

Peaceful...

On our way back home, we, or, rather, I, got lured into a sweet/nuts/seeds shop...

Your correspondent was seduced by this and by a bag of caramelised coconut

Uh oh...

Views from the walk home...

Once more to the apartment for a rest...

...before heading out for our last dinner of the trip...

Sometimes it's great just to sit down, properly...

The shared tortilla starter was so good it was gone before it could be recorded...

...but here's the recipe....

Tasty Sea Bream for Anne...

...and a Duck Risotto for the Beast, was the order of the evening...

Complimentary Sherries accompanied the bill...

Petra was where we were, opposite La Bodega, on the edge of Alfalfa Square...

We did not venture back into the wee bar we'd enjoyed a few nights ago...

...but made our way home past the Carrefour Express (without buying any more chocolate)...

Back to base for the final time...

...and some work done on the new CBQ/Edward Spark LP which is due out tomorrow (along with the next Creek instalment)...

Given the early rise tomorrow and our required early trip to the airport, I released them into the wild a few hours early...

Some immediate partaking took place...

More successful music...

Which always amazes me...

I readied the stuff to be packed first thing tomorrow...

...and then, off to bed reasonably early...

Highlight of the Day : The food...
