A day of five parts...

Up at 7:24 but...

Part 1: Four hours... (FOUR HOURS!) ...spent getting my phone to work after it was accidentally overloaded with music!

This soundtracked in the back room...

Success - but only after a very worrying time indeed...

Part 2: 2.5 hours on the "chat" with Ryan Air after they changed our flight to Nantes later this year without telling us...

Basically just trying to get them to change it back as they say the change they have made to our booking is not finalized and, at present, we are supposedly still flying on the day we booked (well, I say we booked but it's actually the day they switched us to previously) - but how can we get a boarding pass if the date shown on the booking is now not this date?

My argument was that, if it's not finalized, change our booking back until it is...

All four of the flights involved in the fiasco, the two we originally booked and the two to which we were switched in January (our booking now shows us going out on our original date and coming back on the changed date, losing us a day of our trip and forcing us to pay an extra night's accommodation we cannot use) are still available to book by anyone on the Ryan Air website so, frankly, what the actual fuck is going on??

Anyway, as you might imagine, the outcome, after 150 minutes with 2 different representatives of the worst airline in the world, was no movement...

Fucksake!!!

Part 3:  Much more enjoyable.  A bus into town and to Miller & Carter to finally spend a token received re my retirement last June...

Starters were Nachos...

...and Scallops with chorizo...

Mains were Steaks with the trimmings, including beef mac'n'cheese...

...and an unpictured bottle of Pinot Grigio...

No puddings required...

Thank you to my erstwhile colleagues!

Home for coffees and noted the Exec Producer's flower arranging prowess...

Part 4 : We shelled out for season 6 of "The Black List" and enjoyed the first three episodes...

Part 5 : I retired upstairs just after 10...

...ostensibly to write up today but, instead, almost inevitably, I got caught up in music, finding a vid of The Bad Plus last November in Amsterdam, which, in turn, led me to search out works by current and former members of my fave jazz trio (see today's music)...

With newly found items added to those already into the collection, my playlist of Bad Plus released non Bad Plus releases now numbers a massive 69!

Off to bed with the sound of Amsterdam in the cans...

Highlight of the Day : Out for a slap up feed with the EP...
