Up, after having listened to Max Richter's "Sleep" overnight - no-one ever hears the middle part!

As of today, the Xmas decorations and cards are down - all over for another year, granted, a day early but, hey ho...

Breakfast at home...

And, on the last day of the holidays, I continued with the task of compiling the playlist re the book "Year of Wonder"...

For January, I've had to find 10 pieces I didn't already have...

Which is a good thing, I think...

Today I sourced a recording of Richard Strauss' "Der Rosenklavier" to fill the final gap for January...

Mission accomplished...

At lunchtime, post Anne returning from a shopping trip with her mum, "The Umbrella Academy" enjoyed...

In the afternoon, some records also enjoyed...

This, Herman Van Veen's debut from 1968 was one of four...

It's today's Random LP of the Day...

Of course, it's all in Dutch so I don't have a Scooby what he's on about...

I also slightly rearranged the desk...

Pleased with it so far...

And moved the rocking chair back into the computer room, leaving the back room more "tidy", a la this...

I was pleased with that, as you can see...

Time for a shave soon methinks...

Meanwhile, Anne's painting continued apace...

An "end of the holiday" Chinese Takeaway was enjoyed - one last hurrah before getting back on the wagon...

On telly, the return of the real "University Challenge" - once again we were second, scoring a reasonable 135 points...

And a new thing, set in Dundee was deemed "not bad"...

Highlight of the Day : Tidying...
