What did I do today?

Well, it ought to be easier to remember since I'm writing this first thing tomorrow morning...

I was up, as ever, early, and got yesterday's entry done...

It was still dark as I got to work, firstly on that and, then, some WFH...

Breakfast with Anne, as is the lockdown routine - not that that was any different before lockdown of course, other than when we occasionally breakfasted out - at present not an option...

By 8:30, the sun was up and the sky was looking good at the front...

...and strangely pink at the back...

WFH...

Today's random LP of the day was bought back in 1979 following a summer spent in Munich, where M's "Pop Muzik" ruled the discos...

Two episodes of "The Good Place" at lunchtime, as I continued to enjoy veggie sausages...

An afternoon of WFH...

Also today, compiled the first draft of the playlist for this week's podcast...

Then, I created a 3 minute CBQ track to add to it by combining two of the "Disquietmusik" guitarscapes (from volumes 1 and 3) with the quiet intro and outro from Edward Spark's piece from last week - with everything being subject to tempo changes, reversing, key changes etc etc...

...and a rhythm track comprising four individual drum loops...

And so, "Torrent Tree Bone Intercession" was born...

Maybe I should create a new short piece every week in 2021..

Maybe...

And so the podcast will contain much ambience, "modern classical" and another new CBQ piece...

 Which is good...

Things in life you can rely on: The stupidity of me sending 2 hours of great music out into the void every week...

Tasty chicken pasta tea from the EP...

More "The Good Place" then, upstairs to "relax"...

Played a track each from one CD each, chosen from each of the first 10 boxes of CDs on the back wall...

An eclectic selection...

Then, played a track each from one CD each, chosen from each of the second 10 boxes of CDs on the back wall...

Also an eclectic selection..

Back downstairs and another couple of "The Good Place" before, reluctantly, calling it a night...

Highlight of the Day : A new piece...
