Awakening, as is often the case, with an old podcast in my lugs...

Up...

Overcast initially, so pics from around the desk...

..and this off the internet - Brian Eno in his, very cosy and comfortable looking, pyjamas...

Pyjamarama indeed...

Eventually, the sun came out...

Today's classical piece was Haydn's "Surprise" symphony...

Later on the sun definitely had its hat on...

I was very happy about this, as you can see here...

Breakfast - what? did you think I was already describing the afternoon?  No, no, loads happens pre breakfast in lock down...

At lunchtime, a walk to the grocery store...

Early evening, watching the squirrel...

...and listening to music...

Then, wine was called for...

A birthday bottle from Jane and Bob, delivered by the kids on Monday...

Anne relaxed in the garden while her latest work came to fruition in the kitchen...

Mr Eno provided the soundtrack...

Good light on the canvas...

Today's recipe, chicken and mushroom fricassée...

Another triumph...

I was very happy about this, as you can see here...

This rose is decades old - purchased as a seedling in St Andrews many years ago...

The sky was blue, the food was good, as was the wine...

Late on a call with my mum - remains in good spirits and was retested to day for Corona virus - hoping for a negative - we'll see...

These the views as we spoke...

A coupe of LPs late doors...

And the final views of the day, featuring Venus once again...

That'll do for a Wednesday...

To bed with an old podcast in my lugs...

Highlight of the Day : Diner with Anne in the garden...
