The views this morning...

A day of working and music - music was mostly, initially "Impact LPs" - firstly, a track from each of my 20, then a list of 100 on shuffle, then a list of 200...

Plus new music from Loscil, Robert Fripp and Matthew Florianz...

The classical choice, first thing (7/100) was Händel's "Water Music", taken from this excellent collection...

Birthday over...

Back on your heads, as they say...

My unpictured breakfast was an unappetising re the description but tasty re the taste, leftover peppercorn sauce on toast...

Elevenses of birthday cake and coffee...

Lunch was tuna and sweetcorn...

And "Father Brown"...

This evening, a swift visit from Fang...

In...

Dreamies...

Out...

...before I could even get a picture - one short look back...

The last of the cake enjoyed - second slice of the day following the "elevenses" scenario earlier...

The view from the office this evening as I phoned my mum...

She has been tested again re Covid and pronounced all clear...

Still no date set though for her release...

But upwards...

Late on, adding more of the 100 classical works to the playlist - I have already had to purchase Haydn's Trumpet Concerto and, tonight, was "forced" to partake of Beethoven's Violin Concerto - noting that I bought it in October 2011 for Anne's mum - her's is a Menuhin disc, mine includes the piece performed by Anne Sophie-Mutter...

Some correspondence with Count Brodski over the last two days - a tasty Kraftwerk Boot from 1975 is winging its way to him over the ether, while a "surprise" is coming to me by way of the postbox...

And very late on, checking the inbox, more from Macclesfield Craig...

It's all good...

Highlight of the Day : Old music...
