The view from the office early this morning...

...and later this morning...

Check out time...

Bags to the car...

And into town...

Through the Printworks centre - where every space is a restaurant...

Christmas is coming...

Breakfast in the Northern Quarter at Teacup Kitchen...

Excellent coffee...

...and tasty input...

Yummy power porridge...

Poached eggs for the EP...

The view from the window...

We did not partake of cake...

Briefly, to the Arndale Centre...

...and an audio lead obtained at Clas Ohlson...

Back to the car...

...and an hour's drive to Blackpool - 1st time here for me since the early 70's...

Unfortunately, the tower was shut...

There are some very dodgy shows on offer in this town...

The beast was about it's business with its EP...

The view from the office this afternoon...

We visited the Winter Gardens - where I sang with the Kevock Choir at the age of 14 or 15 before getting exceedingly drunk...

Comedy gold...

Out into the bright cold again...

...and along to one of three piers - all three were, like the tower, shut...

Good views of the sea though...

...and the seagulls...

The beach too, was shut...

We enjoyed a late lunch of fish and chips...

...from "The Sea"...

...and bought some souvenirs...

Back to the car under plane-strewn skies...

...to start the long drive home...

Once again we stopped at Tebay...

Admiring the bird-life...

..and a coffee before the final leg home....

Back in time for "University Challenge" and to rip the new acquisitions - which I, of course, only bought because "I was on a break"...

A good wee trip, much enjoyed...

Highlight of the Day : Fish n Chips...
