Up early to discover Donald Trump had won the US Election...

Bloody Hell...

Much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Democrats and, indeed, the not so democratic...

It seems, these days - possibly due to the overwhelming presence of social media - that people find it extremely hard to accept a democratic vote which has gone against them...

Especially people who proclaim themselves loudly to be democrats with a small "d"...

But now we have to live in a world with a President Trump for the next four years...

Good article here on matters...

It's going to be okay, kind of...

In hindsight, it was kind of obvious Trump was going to win, even though famous pollster Nate Silver put the chances at around 27% as the polls neared closing...

The people of America's most important objective as regards the election was "change" and Clinton did not offer that...

Sadly, Trump did - and boy did people fall for his lies, whilst conveniently ignoring his racism, misogyny and his more than dubious business "career"...

Anyway, other than that and watching the Asian markets tank overnight only to see the UK, Europe and, later, the US all do fine and dandy by the end of trading (Asian jump back tomorrow methinks), I recorded the second half of the podcast...

Because, at the end of the day, life goes on...

After all, it wasn't as if idiotic Scots had voted for independence - thank fuck Alex Salmond didn't wait till 2016 to hold it - the kind of utter fuckwittery we've seen this year is exactly what it will take for the SNP ever to succeed with their idiotic aims...

Lowlight of the Day : President Trump...
