Today would have been Meg the Black Cat's approximate 18th birthday...

The much missed wee pie...

No 33 in Stockbridge provided breakfast, after three pre taking wood to the dump hours spent expanding and listening to the list of CBQ songs which might make it onto a live setlist...

Nice...

Some singing of added to the list songs was undertaken - to the point that my fingers were too sore to play my acoustic guitar any longer - no doubt to the delight of our neighbours...

Anne spent the early afternoon at Jane and Bobby's watching The Rangers beat Hibs at Easter Road thus confirming the inevitable - that Hearts had won the 2nd tier in Scotchland this year - with seven games to spare...

Well done the JTs - now ease up a bit on Queens on Saturday please...

Some further electric guitaring led to a broken string...

..and some further moving of stuff to the attic resulted in this amended set up...

This bass amp currently resides in the attic too - and it and the broken string were topics of discussion at Guitarguitar on our way to my mum's...

...where some ants made an unwelcome appearance and were duly ushered off the premises - while mum impersonated "Davros Creator of the Daleks" with her shouts of "exterminate it"...

Here she demonstrates to Anne how ants make their way across a carpet...

A weekly shop and petrol into car scenario undertaken, before returning home, noting this wee beastie in the front garden...

Much of today also involved, in the background, the backing up of several hard drives...

Later on, bringing this up to date after some tasty pasta...

I spent some time reading back from 21 March 2014 through to mid April, the period covering the deaths of Jamie and our wee Meg the Black Cat - dark days...

The last entry I revisited though, sent me to Edmund Rubbra's excellent quartets...

Uplifting despite sad memories...

Highlight of the Day : Singing...
Exec Producer's Highlight of the Day : The Mighty JTs are Championies...
