There is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact, it's all dark...

This morning, around 9:30 in Edinburgh, the eclipse of the sun was kind of able to be seen...

Nope...

Nope...

Nope...

Nope...

Nope...

Nope...

Yep, there it is...

Gone again...

Nope...

Nope...

Oh for heaven's sake...

Nope...

Jeez...

Aw, c'mon...

Aha! Just and no more...

...and once again...

Hmmm...

Well...

That would appear to be that...

Barring some miracle of science, I am almost certainly going to be long gone when the next one happens here in 2090...

Later, posting orders, followed by the purchase of Weather Report's "Mr Gone"...

On the bus home, I checked Facebook and found a very moving post by Jamie Frain's wife Suzy...

Jamie died suddenly a year ago tomorrow but today is the Friday it happened last year and the anniversary has been on my mind for a while...

Suzy's post kind of set me off...

I'm not sure if anyone noticed the fifty five year old man shed a tear on the bus re his old chum...

Here he is in full flight (August 2007) during one of the rare gigs where he featured his own well-crafted songs...

Miss you man...

Off the bus and into good light on Crispycat Hill...

It shouldn't take an eclipse for us to look at the sky and realise the beauty of our surroundings...

This evening was the last in the house for our old radiator...

Around seven, this van pulled up at the back gate...

...and tools were deposited at the back door...

...as none other than nephew Ali arrived to carry out some fine work...

Mr CBQ got in on the act, a little...

...as did the Exec Producer...

...and the big red pipe bender...

A splendid job...

At nine, a home made curry was enjoyed along with some good banter...

A job well done...

And Ali saved the day re the shelves relegated to the attic last saturday.  I could not for the life of me remember where I'd put all the screws which would enable me to reassemble them in the attic...

Ali said "maybe you put them in one of those mugs?"

Thirty years between us but we think the same way...

Well done m'boy...

Cheered by "Uncle" and "Two Broke Girls" then this then bed I think...

Highlight of the Day : Reading Suzy's post re Jamie...
