Up early and working on orders for the new LP...
The mail brought a pleasant surprise in the form of the latest Cure CD, a birthday present from Macclesfield Craig...

Out for brunch to a wee place just down the road, then to Tesco for provisions...
In the evening we took a bus into town to meet with Count Brodski and Lady Penny for a wee birthday meal at Chop Chop....
We were to meet in Thompson's Bar, just up the raod from the restaurant and, here, we bumped into our old solicitor from our record shop days, Alan McLaren - with whom we enjoyed a few pints and G&Ts...
A strange coincidence, as we'd been e-mailing each other earlier in the day arranging a meet up in June...
After an excellent meal, involving twelve different dishes and some boiled rice (and a couple of bottles of wine), we retired over the road to Carters Bar, where more imbibing was enjoyed, your correspondent at one point having three drinks in front of his, increasingly drunken, face...
A shared taxi involved much mucking about and taking of pictures - much to the driver's delight no doubt...
You can see from the above, someone's had a wee bit too much perhaps?
Home to be around 2 am I think...
