Nutrition is our watchword...

Playlist
UK - Best of (CD-R)
Various - Cagliari Playlist
Bruford - Feels Good to Me
Bruford - One of a Kind

50 years old today - but I'll never be any younger so what the heck - let's get on with it...

Back home, the new CD is released with an initial offer of the first 50 copies being given away for free to celebrate my 50 years on the planet...

Up around 8 and off to the nearby grocery store for some bread, beer, wine and crisps...

Nutrition is our watchword...

Breakfast then out and down to the Bus Station - caught the 10:30 to a town down the coast, Pula...

On the way, we passed the procession taking statue of Sant'Efisio back to the city...

We wandered around Pula in the stifling heat, enjoying a coffee at a pavement cafe before catching a shuttle bus down to the beach at Nora, where Sant'Efisio met his end 2,006 years ago...

We sat on the beach and read our books and relaxed in the idyllic surroundings...

Caught the shuttle back to Pula and partook of a cool beer in the main square before taking the bus back to Cagliari...

More beer and some crisps back at the flat before heading out to one of the CD shops we found the other day - I was looking for Italian songstress Laura Pausini's new CD but it was very expensive due to the exchange rate - around £20...

I passed for now, waiting to see how the money goes over the next couple of days...

We looked for and found the restaurant we'd chosen for the big 5-0 birthday tea - but it was closed for renovation...

We found another close by though and it looked good so we sat for around 40 minutes just watching the world go by as we waited for it to open - then in we went...

Cutlets in a spicy tomato sauce with a big salad for Annie and tagliatelle with mushrooms and rocket and cutlets and fries for the big man...

Post the meal, we walked along to the Barcellona cafe for a coffee and got chatting in German to some old guys who were giving us tips on trips to take over the last couple of days of our stay...

Back home, the big film was "The Spy Who Loved Me", dubed into Italian of course...

Highlight of the Day : 50th birthday...
