Posted off our application for Queen of the South Cup Final tickets today – had to send off our semi-final tickets as proof of attendance so we can apply a day before the general public – but it won’t be till Monday so had to add extra cash to ensure delivery etc...

All very fraught but hopefully it’ll work out in the end...

The Royal Mail is a nightmare these days – my two Sparks CDs still haven’t arrived from another Edinburgh address after nearly three weeks...

Passed by FOPP on the way home and couldn’t resist another look at their £4 Blue Note offers – bought another five, so that’s 10 in the last three days...

Got home around 2:30 and spent my final two hours before the holiday uploading all ten to the “new” Classical & Jazz Jukebox...

Taxi to the airport and we checked in just after 5 pm, walking right to the front of the queue after having sat behind everyone as they stood waiting for the desk to open...

A good start to the trip...

Headed up to the newly revamped food hall and enjoyed Cornish Pasties for tea although the contents of mine burned my hand...

Through security and we decided we weren’t removing our shoes – walked right through and no-one batted an eye...

Enjoyed a cool half of Amstel each as we waited to be called...

As good as first onto the plane and an uneventful flight...

It was dark when we arrived at Dortmund...

The efficiency on show saw to it that we were driving off from the airport in our hire car within 30 minutes of landing...

A forty minute drive took us to our initial destination, Rumbeck, a village which is one part of the larger town of Arnsberg...

Straight to the bar and a couple of beers as a nightcap as we chatted to the lady owner of the hotel...

To bed at midnight with my new jazz acquisitions on the headphones...

Highlight of the Day : On holiday again
