Today it was a Happy Birthday to Jorg - his party is tomorrow...

I had dreadful nightmares all night and finally woke for good around 6:30 am...

Listened to the sounds of Soft Machine until 8, then up and ready for another lovely breakfast...

We were out on the road again by 9:30 and off to a nearby nature park, where we saw a couple of racoons (look closely) and a couple of lynxes (not shownl..

Then, a herd of wild boar, of which here's one...

..and several deer...

Saying goodbye to the animals, we drove on to the town of Warstein - home of Warsteiner Bier - and, after taking a walk around the town, sat by the cathedral and enjoyed some coffee...

Then we set off to find the brewery, which is situated just outside of town in a huge self contained plot. The exhibition halls were only opened a year or so ago and everything was very impressive...

A pils for Anne and a non-alchoholic Weissbier for me...

Upon ordering a bratwurst each for lunch, we were joined by the Warsteiner Cat who was after some sausage...

After lunch it was on to the second lake of our visit, the Mohnesee...

We were able to walk across the lake by way of a footbridge and enjoyed a refreshing apple juice spritzer each on the other side, to try and stave off the 25 degrees heat...

Then back to Arnsberg for one last look around before leaving tomorrow morning...

We visited a nearby Lidl and bought a kilo of coffee and a goodly supply of filters for Crispycat Towers...

Had a wee snooze back at the hotel before dinner al fresco around 7:30....

Tonight I went for Anne's choice from last night, the Swiss style Schnitzel while Anne went for the classic Wiener variety...

Every bit as good as yesterday's...

As the sun went down around 9:15 we went inside for a coffee...

For our constitutional, we visited a nearby garden where at least six very large rabbits were gambolling in the moonlight...

Then back to the room to pack for tomorrow...

Highlight of the Day : All the animals...
