Walked to FOPP at lunchtime, accompanied by many of the great albums of the 1970s on shuffleplay. I managed to maintain my non-CD buying status despite the enormous pressure...

Back home, listened again to the Alice Cooper disc of demos – for any Coop aficionados out there, it sounds like part of either “Killer” or “Halo of Flies” was originally the middle section of “Fields of Regret” from their 1969 debut “Pretties For You”...

While Anne was out at the gym I finally managed to download the first couple of volumes of the 9CD set of Rheostatics from the Northern Wish website...

Listened to the first disc as, on Anne’s return, we cooked. I love cooking...

Tonight’s dish was oven-baked salmon fillets, with a light coating of chilli flakes and a squeeze of lemon juice, served on a bed of chorizo, potato and spring onion hash with broccoli on the side...
