Up late, at 9...

And to work...

I spent the entire day recording a 15 minute EP of three Leonard Cohen songs...

...and making a bit of a mess...

Kitchen not pictured...

Here is the result...

With which I'm reasonably pleased...

Finished around six and ordered an Indian for collection and enjoyed that, whilst recording "Dr Who", which we'll watch on Anne's return...

Then realised the EP required to be remixed, as the vocals were just too loud...

To bed at an unrealistic 3am...

Meanwhile, in that London, fun was being had by two ladies...

The new feed station is certainly popular with this squirrel...

Uptown, it was sunny but cold...

A walk to Dalry - part of recent orders fulfilment which continues apace...

Back home to an empty house, Anne having made her way with Jane to London on the 10am train...

So, some reggae music...

...some 13 year old Rioja...

...and some improvised spaghetti, given a distinct lack of various required ingredients for a non-experimental spaghetti...

Turned out tasty...

Watched the recent documentary on The Amazing Randi - in the fifties and sixties he went further than Houdini regarding escapology....

In the 70's he worked with Alice Cooper on their illusions and also exposed many frauds and charlatans - it's one thing using the wrokings of magic to baffle and entertain but quite another to deceive (Uri Geller)...

His long-standing offer of $1m to any "psychic" who can prove their "paranormal" abilities under strict laboratory conditions has never been taken up...

Then, red wine, King Crimson and Queen of the South - a lacklustre 0-0 draw at Falkirk...

...some ahead of its time music from John Lewis (not the department store)...

...and into the night, listening to Leonard Cohen songs and finding a third I might like to do instead of one of the two originally chosen for the Cohen night on 20 November...

To bed at 2am - as is the way when the Exec Producer is away...

Rain...

...and sun...

Later on, Anne was out this evening with chum Debbie - I took the opportunity to watch "Eagle Eye" which must surely have been an influence on "Person of Interest"...

Shia laBeouf always reminds me of Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan...

Late on, taxi duty for Anne and word that she's off to London tomorrow morning...

Little to report today -  a trip to Fopp and a couple of jazz compilations swithered over...

Noted a Blue Note Stanley Turrentine album I thought I didn't have...

Just as well I abstained...

On the way home, Autumn arrived today...

In the evening, a tasty Shepherd's Pie from the Exec Producer, a little bit of live "Coronation Street"..

Further work on uploading the Canadian photos to the blog whilst also writing up the present for future publishing...

More rehearsing of the two Leonard Cohen songs...
